These patterns guard our hearts but now repel what we crave. Recognize yours? Healing one unlocks waves of others.
Guarded Heart Block You shut down fast after hurt. Love feels risky, so walls rise. Dates fizzle from unspoken fear. Partners seem unavailable because you pull back first.
Prover Block You hustle to earn love. Over give, overperform, shape-shift. One-sided bonds drain you. Inner voice whispers “not enough” unless you do more.
Dimmer Switch Block Mute your intensity to fit. Hide big emotions, needs, desires. Surface connections feel safe but empty. True self stays dim, repelling bright matches.
Controller Block Grip tight from anxiety. Obsess over texts, replay words, check socials. Pursuit turns to doubt. Flow blocks when you try to force outcomes.
These are not flaws. They protected you once. Eclipse energy amplifies their release. Self-healing here magnetizes real love: mutual, effortless, whole.

Men often resent Valentine’s Day with a quiet intensity that goes unspoken. It arrives like an ambush: a single day demanding grand gestures, expensive dinners, and proof of devotion on command. Society scripts it as a test of manhood, where love must be purchased in roses, jewelry, or reservations, all wrapped in pink perfection. Fail to deliver, and you risk sulking silence or accusations of neglect. Succeed, and it feels like checking a box rather than kindling a flame. The pressure is relentless: perform or be labeled uncaring, cheap, or worse. No wonder many men push back, seeing it as a commercial trap that reduces their year-round efforts to one high-stakes spotlight.
Their argument carries real wisdom: love should not be confined to February 14. True devotion shows in the unglamorous daily acts, the steady hand on a back during stress, the quiet listening after a long day, the choice to stay when it is easier to drift. Forcing romance into a 24-hour spectacle cheapens it, turning intimacy into obligation. Men intuitively grasp this. They build love through consistency, not calendars, and resent the implication that their ongoing presence means nothing without a receipt. This stance is not coldness. It is clarity: real union thrives on authenticity, not artificial deadlines.
Consider Lupercalia instead, the ancient festival on February 15 that strips away the shopping and scripts. No chocolates required, no credit card swiped. Emerging from Rome’s primal roots, it celebrates wild desire, purification, and life force through raw, embodied rituals: runners shedding clothes and shame, lovers claiming each other under wolf moon light, blood blessings that honor essence over expense. Men can lead here, invoking strength as sacred hunters or devoted priests, without spending a penny. A simple red candle, shared words, naked dance in private, or a vow to your lover’s untamed heart boosts the union instantly. Desire awakens. Stagnation sheds. Closeness deepens. Celebrate Lupercalia in your temple, and watch love run free.
Lupercalia Temple Ritual is now yours in the Patreon shop, but hear this: it is not for everyone. This primal, Venus-blessed rite stirs blood, desire, and wild union in ways that demand care, consent, and reverence. For goddess lovers, romantics, and those ready to shed shame for sacred hunger, it awakens profound shifts. Approach with respect, or step away. Enter the temple only if your heart can hold its fire. Lupercalia was an ancient Roman festival held annually on February 15, dedicated to fertility, purification, and the protection of livestock and women from barrenness. Its origins trace back to the earliest days of Rome, possibly as early as the 5th century BCE, and it was presided over by the Luperci, a brotherhood of priests selected from noble families. The festival took place in the Lupercal cave on the Palatine Hill, sacred to Lupa, the she-wolf who nursed Rome’s twin founders Romulus and Remus. This primal location set the tone for a rite that celebrated raw life force, wildness, and the beginnings of human civilization.
The core rituals were strikingly visceral. Young men from the Luperci ran naked or scantily clad through the streets of Rome, striking women with februa, thongs made from the freshly sacrificed hides of goats and a dog. These whips were believed to promote fertility and ease childbirth; women eagerly sought the blows, seeing them as blessings from the gods. The sacrifices themselves were graphic: goats for purification and a dog for protection, their blood used to anoint the priests’ foreheads with a blood-soaked knife, then wiped away with milk-soaked wool to symbolize cleansing. Amid the chaos, there were also lotteries for pairing young men and women, a precursor to romantic matchmaking that some historians link to later Valentine’s traditions.
Lupercalia’s wild energy persisted until the late 5th century CE, when Pope Gelasius I banned it, likely due to its pagan intensity clashing with Christian values. Yet echoes remain: February as a month of purification (februa means “purifications”), the romantic pairing customs, and even the feast of St. Valentine on February 14 as a Christian overlay. For modern observers, it offers a glimpse into Rome’s unpolished devotion to life’s cycles: blood, desire, fertility, and renewal, far removed from sanitized holidays.
Approach with respect or step away. Enter the temple only if your heart can hold its fire. On February 1, 2026, the Full Moon in Leo arrives like a golden spotlight for your heart, and in my world, she is guided by Venus as She Who Enthrones the Heart. This isn’t the love that begs, over-explains, or waits to be chosen, it’s the love that remembers, “My very existence is an offering.” Under this moon, the invitation is simple and profound: treat your heart like a royal altar instead of a problem to fix.
One of the easiest ways to work with this energy is through a small, at‑home ritual: a single candle, one object that makes you feel beautiful, a few slow breaths, and a moment of honest reflection about how you want to experience love more boldly this year. Love here is not just romance, it is friendship, creativity, devotion to your path, tenderness with your body, and the way you allow the divine feminine to move through your daily life. When you adorn yourself intentionally and look into your own eyes with softness instead of critique, you are already practicing Venusian magic.
If this stirs something in you and you’re longing for more goddess‑centered ritual, my Patreon Moon Temple is where we go deeper with the Leo Full Moon and every full moon of 2026. There, I share full guided rituals, extended Venus invocations, journal journeys, and ongoing teachings for spiritual seekers of the divine feminine who want structure, beauty, and emotional safety around their practice. You’re warmly invited to step into the temple and let your heart be enthroned with us.
Let us meditate together for romantic Union during the full moon in Venus (Feb 1st). Feel free to use this guided meditation. Thank you for being here, and I will continue to share full moon goddess materials.
Meditation
Close your eyes, beloved, and let your body find a position that feels supported and at ease, seated or lying down, spine long, heart softening.
Take a slow breath in through your nose, letting the air fill your chest, your ribs, your belly. Hold for a gentle count of three. Exhale slowly through your mouth, as if you are sighing out the weight of the day.
Again: breathe in, letting your heart space rise and open. Hold. Exhale, and imagine anything heavy around your heart sliding down and out, into the earth.
One more time, deep inhale. Gentle hold. Slow exhale. Let your breath now fall into a natural, steady rhythm, like the tide moving in and out under a moonlit sky.
Now, with your eyes still closed, imagine the night around you. Above you, the Moon is full in Leo: a great golden lantern in the sky, radiant, warm, and regal. Her light does not glare; it glows, like candlelight on polished gold.
See that lunar light pouring down in a soft column, touching the crown of your head, brushing your forehead, your throat, and then resting, warm and steady, over your heart. This light is healing for you. Accept any healing your being is ready for. Each breath you take draws more of that Leo moonlight into your chest. Inhale: the light flows in. Exhale: the light settles and expands through your ribs, your shoulders, your upper back.
Now, in the center of that moonlit space in your chest, imagine a small throne. It may look like carved stone, living vines, warm wood, or pure light. Or by Venus’ grace, what about a crystal or gold throne. This is the throne of your heart, the place where your love, your courage, and your desire are meant to sit in honor. Honor your heart.
For a moment, notice: has this throne been empty? Has someone else been sitting there, another person, an old story, a fear of being “too much”? Simply notice, without judgment, and with each breath, let the Leo moonlight gently clear away whatever does not belong on that throne.
Now, call Venus. Not a cartoon Valentine, but the living goddess of love and beauty, of magnetic presence and sacred desire. See her stepping into the moonbeam beside you, shimmering in rose-gold light, eyes bright and kind.
Feel her presence: warm, confident, unapologetically loving.
She places one hand on your back between your shoulder blades, one hand lightly over your heart. Her touch is both soothing and activating, like warm water and starlight at once.
Hear her voice in whatever tone feels most natural to you, and let her speak into your heart:
“You are not here to beg for love. You are here as love. You are not here to prove your worthiness. You are here to remember it.”
As she speaks, feel the throne in your heart becoming more solid, more real. Venus invites you now to sit upon it. With your next inhale, imagine yourself stepping forward inside your own heart, turning, and lowering yourself onto that inner throne. Feel how it supports you. Notice how it feels to sit as if you were inherently worthy of tenderness, of devotion, of being cherished.
If any resistance arises, doubts, old pain, fears about romance, or being seen, acknowledge them softly. Then see the Leo full moon above you, brightening, pouring more light into your chest, washing through those old patterns like warm, golden rain. You don’t need to fix everything in this moment; you only need to sit, and breathe, and allow.
Now bring your awareness to romantic love and union, in whatever way that is true for you right now. You might be in partnership, calling in partnership, healing from heartbreak, or simply deepening your relationship with your own soul. There is no wrong way to be here.
Gently, ask your heart: “What kind of love feels safe and radiant for me now? What kind of union, with another or with myself, allows me to stay on my throne?” Do not force an answer. Simply let any sensations, images, or words float up from the heart space, carried on your breath like small petals on water.
Now feel Venus standing beside your throne, as if this full moon and the coming Valentine’s season are a corridor she is walking you through. She leans close, and you hear:
“In this month of hearts and roses, you are not a bargain to be hunted for a sale. You are an altar. Every romance that approaches you, including the one you have with your own life, must bow to this truth.”
Let those words sink in. Feel how they change the way you sit, the way your shoulders rest, the way your chest opens. If it feels right, place your physical hand over your heart and breathe into your palm, as if you are blessing your own body with this understanding.
Now, bring to mind one simple intention for this Leo full moon with Venus, something gentle and clear: “I allow myself to be loved in ways that honor my heart.” “I choose relationships where I can shine and feel safe.” “I am ready to heal the story that says I must shrink to be loved.”
Choose one sentence, or let your own arise. Repeat it silently with your breath three times.
On the first repetition, feel the words fill your chest. On the second, feel them expand through your whole body. On the third, imagine the words rising up to the full moon, to Venus, as a clear signal sent into the subtle currents of this month.
Know that as Valentine’s approaches, you are not waiting passively for love to find you. You are already generating a field of love from your own enthroned heart, and that field will quietly shape the invitations, relationships, and decisions that come your way.
Take a few more breaths in the moonlit temple of your chest. See Venus smiling, knowing that this is only a beginning, a prelude to deeper ritual, deeper healing, deeper union. She touches your shoulder once more and says:
“Remember this feeling when the world starts shouting about love. Remember that you have a throne inside you. Sit here first, and let everything else come from there.”
When you are ready, imagine the Leo full moon’s light softening, becoming a gentle glow that stays inside your heart as a small, steady flame. The throne remains. Your seat is waiting whenever you close your eyes and return.
Begin to deepen your breath. Wiggle your fingers and toes. Feel the surface beneath you, the room around you.
On your next exhale, let your eyes slowly open, carrying with you the quiet radiance of your own enthroned heart, already in conversation with Venus, already preparing for the full moon and the season of love ahead.
You’re invited to participate in my full moon goddess ritual for the Leo Full Moon. We shall work with Venus.
If my words, poems, or goddess musings have ever felt like a quiet companion to you… I’ve created a space where that energy lives and breathes more deeply.

The second full moon of the year is almost here, rising in all her radiant power on February 1st.
Full moons are moments of illumination, revealing what’s ready to be released and what’s meant to bloom. This one carries a potent energy of renewal, clarity, and deep feminine wisdom.
As the moon swells, you might be feeling emotions rise within you too: insights surfacing, patterns asking to be shed, or dreams calling to be manifested. This is the perfect time to slow down, create sacred space, and reconnect with your inner goddess, that wild, intuitive essence that knows what you truly need.
Preparing for the Full Moon Energy
Here are a few ways you can begin aligning with the energy of this upcoming full moon:
Cleanse your space and self. Smudge or diffuse herbs like sage, mugwort, or lavender to clear stagnant energy around you.
Journal your release intentions. Write down what you’re ready to let go of: habits, fears, or doubts that no longer serve your path.
Charge your crystals. Place your favorite stones on the windowsill to absorb the coming moonlight.
Move your body with intention. Dance, stretch, or simply sway, invite the lunar rhythm to flow through you.

There was a moment when I realized that if I waited to feel “ready,” Lovestar Temple would never exist. I would keep writing love poems in the cracks of my day, mothering five children, scrolling past other people’s dreams, and telling myself I needed more time, more money, more structure, more permission. But under all of that, there was a softer, truer confession: I was afraid of being seen as what I really am, a priestess of the feminine body-temple, a woman who turned her own desire for ritual into a living sanctuary.
I grew up in the church, where ritual had a time, a place, and a building. I miss that sometimes: the predictable rhythm, the way you always knew when the candles would be lit and the songs would rise. That cadence shaped my nervous system. It taught me that ritual is not just “woo”; it is structure, medicine, calendar, container. But as a working mother of five, those old forms of ritual no longer fit my life. I do not have two hours to prepare elaborate altars every week. I have ten minutes in my bathroom. I have the walk from the kitchen to the laundry. I have the curve of my own hip and the softness of my own voice. Somewhere along the line, I realized: what if my body is the sanctuary now?
Lovestar Temple was born from that question. It is my mission-led, ongoing experiment in turning a human woman’s life into a temple of love. The “Temple” is not a distant marble building; it is the way I treat my body when I am tired, the way I speak to my reflection, the way I write to you about love, goddess, and desire. It is the poetry I share on Facebook and Threads, the free ebooks I give away, the romantasy tales and goddess activations that invite you back into your own softness and power. Lovestar Temple is my promise to keep choosing this path publicly, even when my voice shakes.
Starting this business terrifies me because it is not a mask; it is my real heart. There is no safe distance between “brand” and “being.” So I made a quiet oath for 2026: to stop using fear as proof I should wait, and start using fear as proof that I am entering holy ground. Every time the fear voice says, “Who do you think you are?” I answer, “I am the woman who was lonely for ritual and built herself a temple.” And I offer that temple to you, not as something you must believe in, but as a mirror. Your body is a temple, too. Your longing is an altar. Your daily life can become a ritual of love. Lovestar Temple is simply one way I am learning to live that truth out loud, so you never have to walk back to your own temple alone.
On the night of the first full moon of the year, when the Moon enters the watery house of Cancer and climbs high as the Wolf Moon, you are summoned to the inner temple of Selene, She‑of‑the‑Silver‑Chariot, Queen of Night and Tides. Lay aside the garments of haste and duty; cross this threshold as one who remembers that rest is a rite and tenderness a law older than empires. In this chapter, you do not merely observe the Moon, you present yourself before the Moon Herself, veiled in white, crowned with light, watching over oceans, shores, and sleeping hearts.
Enter your chamber as if entering a sanctuary. Let the lamps be dim, the air cool and soft, the noise of the world left beyond the door. Spread white or pale blue cloth upon a chosen surface and set there a single white candle, a clear bowl of water, and, if it pleases you, a stone that has tasted the Moon, moonstone, selenite, or clear quartz, cool beneath your fingers. Around them you may place symbols of home and belonging: a small key, a shell, a photograph of those to whom your heart returns. In this temple, your body is not a machine of labor; it is a vessel awaiting luminous filling.
When the hour feels ripe and night has settled, sit before this altar. Place one hand upon your heart and the other upon your belly, seat of waters and tides. Draw nine slow breaths, each an offering. With each inhale, imagine the pale glow of Selene descending from the high vault of the sky, pouring into your chest; with each exhale, let the weight of the last year slip down your spine and into the earth. Then take fire to wick, and as the candle awakens, speak softly, yet with the authority of one who calls a goddess by her true name:
“Selene, white‑robed Lady of the Night, Rider of the silver‑shining path, Watcher of seas and sleepers, I kindle this flame in your honor. Look upon me with gentle eyes. Make of my heart a quiet shore beneath your Moon.”
