  • What Conscious Love Really Means

At its core, conscious love is a partnership built on awareness, intention, and responsibility. It is the antithesis of the romantic fantasy where a perfect partner completes us and erases all our problems. Instead, it recognizes that a relationship is a crucible for growth, and the person beside us is both a mirror and a teacher.

    The Pillars of Conscious Love:

    1. Awareness Over Autopilot: Most relationship conflicts are not unique; they are cycles we replay unconsciously. Conscious love demands that we become aware of our triggers, our childhood wounds, and our communication patterns. It asks, “Why does this specific thing cause me to react so strongly?” instead of “Why are you doing this to me?”
    2. Intention Over Impulse: Love is not just a feeling that comes and goes; it is a series of intentional choices. It is the choice to speak with kindness when you feel like snapping, the choice to listen when you want to defend, and the choice to prioritize the relationship even when it’s inconvenient.
    3. Responsibility Over Blame: In unconscious relationships, the default mode is blame. Conscious love flips this script. It involves taking 100% responsibility for your 50% of the dynamic. This means owning your feelings, your reactions, and your contributions to conflict, without expecting your partner to “fix” you.
    4. Expansion, Not Completion: The conscious love narrative is not “you complete me,” but “you complement me.” It is built on the foundation of two whole individuals who choose to share their lives, not two halves searching for wholeness in another. The goal is mutual growth and expansion, not enmeshment and dependency.

  • Polka Dot Dress – A Fashionable Feminine Lejend – Poetry

    Dear Lovestar,

I finally saw the actual news about the polka dots dress, and I have to say I am a fashion lover but do not actually own a polka dress. I am now wearing a long red dress. I am also Cuban, and you do know Latinas dress up, I am currently dressed up in my own living room. I write a lot about fashion, also. I am loving this topic.

The news is that this brave lady stood up to ICE looking fabulous, apparently women want to look like her and there is an awfully hateful debate which helps nobody. In this case, the dreadful debate focused on existing hate for others and not this woman, the news, and definitely, no focus on actions or change.

For me, this is about the power of femininity, and I bet you that Aphrodite was with her for her to look fabulous in tragedy and Athena was also there for her to be this powerful. We, modern women in safety choose the Aphrodite, she however is Athena’s child, bold, powerful, unafraid, commanding.

Sending great vibes to this boss, the polka dot lady, I hope she actually loves the polka dot look.

This lady deserves poetry, also it is the best I can do right now:

Here is a poem for the Polka Dot Lady:

In a world that offers ice
to those left out in the cold,
    in a world where masculinity
is a law; there are women just like you
who have the balls that some lack
    in the cutest polka dots.

Eyes see you and do not understand
if you were making a stance for peace
or for fashion’s sake. I see a feminine boss
who makes the news without guns,
    I see a mother’s warm touch,
I see a wife and a woman of Love,
for only Love makes us go against
    the tyrannical world.

    Eve

    Polka Dot Lady

She knew full well her intentions,
    I assume.
    She went out with persuasion
    in her mind:
"I go out to make a stand"
    She might have realized,
though likely she was pissed off
at the cruel state of the world.

But how do you make a stance
    in the cold, masculine world?
Ah, wear a dress, make it look good,
bring your best jacket to the test,
do your hair and look your best,
make a statement with red shoes
to then go out and put a pig in its place.

    Eve
    This isn't about politics
    for me,
    it isn't about taking sides
    to forever fight,
I don't want to look like her,
I only wish to nurture within me
a tiny fire that might resemble
    her lioness in the streets.
    Inspiration is her power:
If we think she is the dress,
    we have failed to understand
    femininity.
This is the rage that I feel
    in a world where justice
has a birthplace and a cost
    and the rest of us
    we endure, we defend ourselves
    and we request rights
that apparently were not ours to claim
    at birth.

    Eve
How may you treat a woman animal
when she feels hate within her body?
    Bring more force?

    Hers was a reaction
to the ways of the world and her stand,
his hands though, are much too close
to her breasts like she had weapons there.

    Women are not weaker because
they wear a polka dot dress,
but yes, if they become the dress.

    Eve
Watch a woman make a stand.
This is not new, not at all.
    Women all over the world
give their lives to deep causes.

But let us diminish her depth.
her rough courage, and her strength,
and reduce her to her looks
    and her polished dress.

    Perhaps she was the lioness
    In the angry, screaming crowd,
but also, she was best dressed,
what makes the news is her dress.

    This shows nothing about her:
it is the public who is shallow,
    watching drama with their popcorn
    and judging women for looks.

    Eve

Ode to polka dots (before I read the deepness of the news, I saw polka dots trending and wrote about their style)

    On this weekend,
    I shall wear
    A cute polka dot dress,
My long hair in two braids,
And I'll go out sun or rain
    To have fun and decompress.

    Eve
    I have little black dresses
    and little red dresses.
    I have long, flowing dresses,
    and colorful dresses,
    and soft, cozy dresses
    that inspire caresses.

But I have yet to buy
    a polka dot dress.
    One with romantic sleeves
    with ruffles and waves
    and the interesting pattern
that makes you look its way.

    Thank you for reading.

If you would like to voice your opinion on this matter, I welcome the debate. However, I have noticed a toxic tendency for political debate online to be very hateful and never producing any good effect.

Because if we debate someone in that hate, the person will become defensive and not actually listen. No change comes from a debate that is charged with hate. Many online debates are forceful conversations rather that.

Please state your opinion from a place of awareness and I will be happy to read them.

  • To be human is to judge. Poetic Journal

    Siren Chants poem, journal below.

    Dear lovestar,

I cycle back to beloved activities, so I land now again at the feet of journaling and please forgive me for staying away for so long.

I used my voice recorder to record a huge recording and using the awesome tech of speech to text, I present to you, my new journal page for more conformation of my crazy, I created this as a huge spoken word poem type of creation.

Journal Entry ~ To Be Human is to Judge

Today I sat with myself and all the noise in my head.
I keep circling the same question:

To be human is to judge.
    How do I know?
How do I know what’s underneath what I feel?
How do I know when I’m facing the real problem… or when I’m completely wrong?
When am I mistaken, when is my mind a wreck, when did I misunderstand something crucial?
And how do I know if what I feel is truly mine or something borrowed from others, leaking into me?

I don’t know what it was, but I felt something and let it win.

I exist in this mess of thoughts, in this strange chaos where nothing feels solid.
At my best, I’m still a mess.
I wonder: do I need a doctor, do I need rest, do I need a psychiatrist or simply a bed?
How will I know for real when what’s coming is death when every other day feels like dying already?

For now, this is how I live.
I’m learning and growing, trying to crawl out of it somehow.
I don’t choose to create from a sad state, but what else can I do except what I know?
    I learn as I go. I grow.

The future feels like a puzzle I can’t solve.
When it comes, it’s just another “now.”
The present turns into the past, the future arrives as the present, and the tongue-twister never ends.
So I judge the past with today’s awareness, knowing that in the future I’ll judge today just as harshly.
Will I call my present mistakes failures later? Most likely.

And it’s not just my fate: it’s humanity’s mess.
Some of us make it, some of us never had the chance.
Maybe judgment itself is the source of unease.
Maybe acceptance of my human mess is the only way to relax.

    I try. I really do.
But sometimes I break under the weight of my own expectations.
Sometimes I lose my calm, collapse under pressure, and throw everything away.
It makes me wonder if failure itself is proof that I’m human.

Words are all I have to bear it.
Confusion, too, is a strange comfort, it’s a place I can stand when I don’t know how to feel or what to say.
Maybe I’ll always feel like I’m not enough, unworthy, unwell.
    But speaking helps. Writing helps.

I don’t write this for anyone else, not for validation, not to be understood.
Still, I know that sometimes my words carry the weight of feelings others have too.
If you’ve ever felt alone in confusion, you’re not alone.
If you’ve ever struggled with judgment, both of yourself and others, you’re not alone.

Because to be human is to err.
And to be human is to judge.

I also did minor edits, added some features, upgraded the design, added decorations, and more.

I have uploaded the free Ode to Sappho eBook to my new Payhip shop. If you are a fan of Sappho, read it and tell me what you think. On this eBook, I discuss my belief, that Sappho is the mother of love songs and that we are still under her poetic influence.

Let me know what other ancient voices you want to hear, though Sappho is one of a kind. I have been preparing to write about Hecate.

    Ode to Sappho, Free eBook

    https://payhip.com/b/6Tjxz

In the hallowed halls of history, one voice dared to sing of a different truth. A voice that was meant to be silenced, yet whose echo has grown only stronger across millennia. Sappho of Lesbos, the Tenth Muse, gave language to the sacred depths of the feminine heart, to love that dared not speak its name, and to a passion that defied the confines of her time.

Her world was one of fragments, scorched papyrus and whispered verses, but her spirit is an unbroken flame.

Download for free on Payhip and follow my new shop for some support. I will soon add my This is Pisces Poetry free poetry collection, so return for more free reads, additionally, I have a free journal and I have other free poetry collections I will be adding with some time (because I am too busy right now and I apologize but I do not have any more time than this at the moment.)

My new Payhip shop (where you can download the Sappho eBook for free) is dedicated to tending that ancient flame of the poetess.

Here, we channel the raw emotion, divine beauty, and defiant spirit of Sappho and the divine feminine into creations that bridge the ancient and the modern. Every offering and free gift is more than a product; it is an artifact of a continued legacy and also goddess inspired.

The Sappho eBook is an invitation to connect with a history of powerful ancient feminine voices, to find solace in shared emotion, and to carry a touch of the sacred feminine with you.

Your Support is More Than a Purchase, It’s a Patronage of a Legacy.

When you choose to support this shop, you do not merely acquire a beautiful eBook. You become part of a story that began over two thousand years ago on the shores of Lesbos that I am only too happy to be able to connect to and get inspired from. You can also support my shop by downloading one of our free eBooks, this Sappho one I will one day turn into a real book so I can have the real book, paging through it would be magical.

You help ensure that the voices of the past are not forgotten, and that their lessons of love, courage, and artistic expression continue to resonate. You allow a modern artist to continue the timeless work of giving form to feeling and voice to the voiceless.

  • August 1st & Lion’s Gate

Who is so excited that it’s August? Me.

  • Dance Bliss

When I was a little kid and reciting a lovely poem of a Spanish dancer, I dreamed of becoming a Flamenco dancer. Eventually I realized that I was born in the wrong country for that and learned the Cuban Salsa. 🙂

Flamenco dancers are super inspirational. Watch Sara Baras for inspiration. She is a muse.

  • Dance Bliss

This poem is a celebration of the moment your body finally lets go and follows the music, not with your head, but with your soul. It’s an invitation to dance barefoot and free, without holding back, as if nothing else in the world matters. It gently dares you to find that secret place inside where joy lives, and let it move you until you feel fully, wildly alive.

Eve likes this type of dance; it is healing to her.

  • Goddess Songs – The Ancient Stream 1

    Dear Lovestar,

I have not needed to journal lately, yet here I am with my newest goddess poetry and another parallel project (later, it’ll be harder to find even more lost poems, I am organizing the important ones).

On this blog I will expand on all these goddesses, and we will do a huge deep dive. So, let us get inspired by the goddesses.

This poem started it all. Artemis, a goddess I had wanted to write about for a long while. I learned a lot about Artemis before I could write this little poem. Yet I will be writing more to add to it.

    Aphrodite

I will need to dedicate an entire post to this poem.

This poem just ended up talking about Aphrodite and Dionysus. It was unintended. We will talk more about this topic as well.

One of these ancient goddesses of love was the first nudist whether it was Aphrodite or not. I do not know who the first one was. I mean in an alternate to the bible reality.

In the bible, the first nudist is Eve.

One good way to observe Aphroodite is nude and also with foot on ground as the ancients did in Rome for the Venus festival per the ancient Roman poet whose reference one day I will find again because I lost it.

    Athena

PDF of the collection will be available once I am done adding poems to it.

  • Poetry’s Healing Mystery – Poetesses and their Prophetic Verses – The Goddess in Poetry

    Dear Lovestar,

I am a poetess. This means I am a poet who writes from her femininity. It also means I have a connection to history. Poetess is a word you find in ancient history, which also means it is a word that is connected to ancient mystery.

Poetry is alive and well, thanks for asking

As a mouthpiece for poetry, I am not humble about my relationship with poetry. Which doesn’t mean that I am egotistical about poems I write, because they don’t belong to me, poems simply exist, I hear them, then, since they’re energy, I translate them into words.

My poetry, comprised of thoughts I hear, spirit talk, my conversations with Venus, inspired inspiration, channeled stuff, thoughts that come through, and more. I have made myself open to the lady poetry and as a humble (I was not humble in the previous paragraph, but I change fast lol) slave to poetry, poetry showers me with all kinds of creations.

Poetesses have evolved, but we’re not extinct

I am Cuban, Spanish my first language. Spanish is a gendered language, which means I am very comfortable using language that exposes my gender, example “amiga” female friend vs “amigo” male friend, I am an “amiga”. I don’t feel uncomfortable, at all, about gendered language including the feminine form of a noun that describes me, or the adjectives that are used to describe me.

In fact, I am very proud to be a female, and I do mostly everything from my femininity.

I do not like this new drive to be masculine and I do not resonate with it.

I also do not believe that using feminine words takes anything from me, on the contrary. Know I am not a poet, I am a poetess. Ready to fall is Love?

    Poetess poetry

    Free my light
From the claws of the dark
    The darkest darks,
    The sad implants
    I've received this life.
    Free my light,
    And earn my Love.

    Why are Poetesses dangerous?

    Poetess write with the heart:
    Beating blood stains her verse.
    Her Love is a superpower,
    She fears no emotion,
    Her expression pure and raw.
    A poetess has a connection,
Secret, but connected to the divine.
Pure mystery, what is feeding her?

    The Mystery of Poetry

Beloveds, I am but a simple mouthpiece, through me come poetry, but understanding is not of our dimension. I do not understand the mystery of poetry, I simply know there is mystery here.

I study this mystery, and I will continue to talk about this mystery and any clue I find, I will share, of course.
