TMI? Well, this blog is mainly for a feminine crowd and we all have, will have, or have had the monthly shedding. While this topic is taboo, and even my daughters have heard about the dislike and fear of it which is toxic, I have noticed that after a time of a lot of spiritual work and specially growth, my monthly running gets intense, sometimes I can’t move on day one, as it happens with my experience during the Lion’s gate.
Experiencing a heavier period after engaging in intense spiritual work can be seen as a reflection of the deep connection between your physical body and your spiritual energy. From a spiritual perspective, menstruation is often viewed as a powerful time of release, renewal, and cleansing. When you engage in spiritual practicesāwhether it’s meditation, energy work, or deep emotional healingāyou may be stirring up and releasing old energies, emotions, or blockages that no longer serve you.
The increased flow could symbolize the body’s way of purging these accumulated energies, making space for new growth and transformation. Just as your spiritual work helps clear your mind and spirit, your body may be mirroring this process by intensifying the natural cycle of cleansing that occurs during menstruation.
It’s important to listen to your body during these times and honor what it needsāwhether that’s rest, nourishing foods, or gentle self-care. This process can be seen as a powerful reminder of the interconnectedness of your body, mind, and spirit, highlighting the importance of balance and self-awareness in your spiritual journey.
However, some people interpret menstruation as a form of detox because it involves the body shedding blood and tissue that is no longer needed, which can be seen as a release of what is old or unnecessary, making way for renewal. This aligns with spiritual or holistic views that see menstruation as a time of cleansing, both physically and energetically. While it’s not a detox in the strictest medical sense, the concept reflects a broader understanding of menstruation as a time of letting go and starting anew.
This is why some typically not super young girls but grown women will talk og honoring our monthly visitor. I guess that is wherre I am today. I am most certinly not a girl and as a mother of 4 girls, I have a need to inform the new generations and at this point, the new generations is not just children, younger women can learn too from the wisdom of a grown woman. I have been the young female learning from a more mature female and it is my pleasure to inspire someone else to honor their body.
I might never tell the story of how I started working with Venus because it is such a personal story. Long story short, the goddess came to me and we had several conversations and I gather she wants me to write about her, make working with her cool, make beautiful Venus art, and lucky for both of us, she loves Venus poetry.

I call her Venus because I know a little Latin vs no Greek so I could do some work in Latin because I am brave. Also because it is the name of the planet. I actually like the name Aphrodite better. I chose Venus for the language really and I will invoke as Aphrodite if I want to appeal to her most ancient version vs Venus for a more modern vibe. I’ll write about both.
Venus, the Roman Aphrodite
Venus, known as the Roman goddess of love, beauty, and fertility, is one of the most prominent figures in Roman mythology, associated with her Greek counterpart, Aphrodite. She was believed to have been born from the sea foam, emerging fully grown and breathtakingly beautiful in Greece and later in Rome, as depicted in countless works of art, including Botticelli’s famous painting, The Birth of Venus.
Venus as Aphrodite played a central role in many myths, including the Greek story of the Trojan War, where her intervention led to the fateful judgment of Paris and the eventual fall of Troy. I wrote a poem about this. See below. She was also considered the mother of the Roman people, through her son Aeneas, who fled Troy and became an ancestor of Romulus and Remus, the legendary founders of Rome. Temples dedicated to Venus were widespread in ancient Rome, and she was worshipped as the bringer of love, the protector of gardens, and a symbol of victory and prosperity.
For the ancient myths of Greece, I will use her original name. At a grand wedding feast, the mischievous goddess Eris tossed a golden apple into the crowd, inscribed with the words “to the fairest,” sparking a rivalry between Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite. Paris, a young prince of Troy, was tasked with choosing the fairest, and each goddess offered him a tempting giftāHera promised power, Athena offered wisdom, but it was Aphroditeās promise of Helen’s love, the most beautiful woman in the world, that captured his heart. With a decision that would change history, Paris chose Aphrodite, unknowingly setting the stage for the legendary Trojan War and the death of him and doom for his kingdom.
Ancient Venus Worship
I lost the poem I describe on this piece. I wrote it inspired by an ancient Roman poem which I read while studying Latin online, it might have been on Wikipedia, which I used heavily to find ancient poems in ancient languages. I have a clue where to look for it because I can’t find the poem that inspired it now.
This poem describes a Venus festival in Rome. Clues to take for our modern practice are: dancing in little clothes (I only do this by myself or with my beloved) or dancing in flowing clothes, being barefoot on the ground, what we call today Earthing or grounding, also carefree fun moments. The poet I referred to was a famous Roman poet describing the festival who spoke of girls engaging in the barefoot dance through the streets of Rome and he sounded like he was extremely pleased with the view for one, he was in awe, he was loving it.
Love magic was very popular in Rome (as well as Greece) and Venus was the recipient of many offerings, rituals, and prayers to ask her favors by men to attract love or a lover and by women for the same as well as for fidelity, and probably beauty.

Prior to the church disempowering females and femininity, as well as the desire of being with a woman, ancient people worshipped beauty, and sex. My talks with Aphrodite
She has insights about love and sex. Can you understand the meaning of this poem. A person who commented didn’t really get it. I opt to be vague in my sex poems, but I want to know if anyone gets it. Either way, you can receive it’s wisdom from the most ancient Aphrodite. Her magic will make one the best lover, obviously, because she is (if you don’t believe in goddesses, you might resonate with this) the feminine energy: Love, sex, making babies (do you see now why she was demonized?
I am not sure if I can tell you the story of our meeting. I told my lover and it was the most wild thing. I will write some cryptic poetry about that meeting. It was beautiful and I am so grateful that she reached out to me.
Ok, I will tell you a bit: Aphrodite came to me at night when I was trying to sleep and my lover, Scorpio, was already sleeping. I wasn’t sure who I was talking to because I am new at openly talking to spirit, not going to lie, I don’t mean intuition but telephatic conversations to really shock me and get my full attention, I didn’t even think to ask her name, except it became really obvious. After that initial meeting, the communication is more subtle but present as needed and then I initiate the conversation myself. I can hear in the bed and the bath, sometimes while I am working on something. Some of “my” poetry comes from spirit this way, which I might call the muse. This is why I write so much poetry without writer’s block.

She basically recruited me and then I was hesitant. She talked to me. I asked her to protect my union with Scorpio, she then proceeded to bind us in a spirit marriage. It was absolutely gorgeous. Oh, you did not realize yet the magic of twin flame union and I know you heard of tin flame sex but, they were short, it is even more powerful than any of us know. I’ll be happy to study this forever.

Of course, I already told you I want to create a Venus altar, I have changed the idea in scale and design, I want to make it gorgeous, and visible, yet safe from the little hands. I already wrote about this and I will write more as I do it.
Knot magic for Venus. I wrote an ebook with ideas and incantations to use for knot magic, which I use which works. Of course, I didn’t have to tie Scorpio, he tied himself, I had to tie myself. True story, I got a new anklet but this time I tied a knot for my divine masculine, one for the divine feminine, and a final knot to bind the two. I spoke a prayer for the DF, one for the DM, and a final union prayer as I as I suggested I would, I asked my beloved to tie the final knot. By accident, I removed the anklet while changing my clothes and I was super sad, I asked Scorpio to keep it safe, he has it, though he doesn’t knot how magical it is, though I am sure he has an idea of what I am up to, I jokingly told him his soul is mine, but he gave me permission to do magic with his energy, which of course I asked and did. I was working in my yard as a plant was not doing well, and I realized it got flooded. Additionally, our peach tree had a rough summer in the AZ summer.
As I got outside, a big storm was coming from the mountains. A mountain range that creates its own weather and is known by the natives as having a God of thunder. I will tell you about this mountain later as it is a mysterious mountain range I can see through my bedroom window, said to be haunted by the locals. I have feateured pictures there, I camped there, have you seen my camping picvtures, I also hiked there, the overnight camping in a tent would have been the more interesting part. This mysterious mountain range is the Supperstitions mountains in Arizona.
As I worked on the yard, very naturally, the following words started coming out of my mouth:

I started meditating with this tree. I’ve been cultivating this relationship with the tree for over a year, and I’ve blogged about this before. It was time to start working with it. By working with the tree, I’m referring to tree magick.
Before you suggest I’m crazy, reminder that trees are alive.
Trees have awareness. Research suggests that trees communicate with each other via the roots, and there’s no denying that spending time in nature is a very relaxing and healing thing.
Working with trees
Working with trees in paganism and witchcraft involves honoring and utilizing the unique energies and symbolic meanings associated with different types of trees.
For beginners, this can start with simply spending time in nature, meditating near a tree, or physically touching it to connect with its energy.
Trees are often seen as sacred beings that embody wisdom, stability, and life force, making them valuable allies in spiritual practices. Each tree species carries its own properties and associationsāsuch as the oak symbolizing strength or the willow representing intuitionāallowing practitioners to tap into these qualities for guidance, healing, or personal growth.
A common practice is to create a tree altar or perform rituals involving trees, such as offerings of food, crystals, or herbs at the base of a tree. This can be a way to build a relationship with the tree, seek its support, or express gratitude.
Additionally, tree magic can involve using parts of the tree, like leaves, bark, or wood, in spells and charms to harness its specific energy. Engaging in these practices helps to develop a deeper connection with nature and align oneself with the rhythms and wisdom of the natural world.
How I cultivated a relationship with the tree
I started communicating with the tree a year ago after I watched a video from The Witch of Wanderlust. Her video was soothing and inspirational. I was already hanging out with the tree, but Wanderlust inspired me to go deeper and communicate with it.
I talk to the tree, ask it questions, and the tree responds, though not always. I give the tree gifts and the tree has given me gifts as well.
I crafted my twin anklets under this tree
With magick, I want to ensure the tree accepts my collecting pinecones and sticks. When I clean around the tree and give it gift offerings, I find the most amazing sticks, which I intuitively feel are its gifts for me. I express my gratitude for this dear friend.
Does this tree have a tree spirit?
I feel deep within me that this tree has a spirit. I don’t know if every tree has a spirit and I’m not a spirit work expert. In fact, I’m only starting to work with spirits because spirits are coming around me, letting me know they’re there, and initiating contact with me.
There are several trees at this park, but only this tree I love there. I actually love all the trees, but this tree is such a blessing to me. I have spent hours under this tree and written amazing poetry under its shade. It is not the only amazing tree at this location, but it is the tree that calls to me. I feel extremely peaceful at its base.
In paganism and witchcraft, the spirits of trees are believed to be distinct entities that embody the essence and qualities of the trees themselves. These spirits, sometimes referred to as dryads or tree fae, are thought to hold deep wisdom and possess a connection to the natural world.
For beginners, working with tree spirits can begin with simple acts of respect and mindfulness. Spending time near a tree, offering a quiet greeting, or leaving small tokens such as coins or flowers can help establish a connection.
Listening to the rustling of leaves or observing the tree’s presence can also facilitate communication with these spirits.
Another approach is to meditate with the intent of connecting with the tree spirit, visualizing its energy, and seeking guidance or insight.
This can involve sitting or standing by the tree and allowing your mind to attune to its presence. Incorporating the tree’s energy into rituals, such as invoking its spirit for protection or inspiration, can be a powerful way to work with these entities.
By building a respectful relationship with tree spirits, practitioners aim to gain wisdom, support, and a deeper understanding of the natural forces that influence their spiritual practices.
Offerings I made to this tree
I sprayed it with my fabulous handmade essential oil perfume of high-quality rose, geranium, rose geranium, and jasmine oil on two special occasions
I played meditation music for it, a new idea I got and something very easy I can continue to do
I have been cleaning the perimeter of trash. When I asked the tree what I could do for it, my awareness immediately traveled to nearby trash, and I took it as obvious communication
Water and fruit, nuts
My essential oil perfume, which I made out of pure flower essential oils is the best perfume I’ve ever smelled.
Tree meditation
After working with the tree for over a year and becoming acquainted to the point of communicating with it, I did the following meditation:
1. Became acquainted with the tree for over a year
2. Picked up trash around the tree whenever I see it
3. Have been making offerings for the tree just because we’re friends
4. Asked the tree permission for meditation and everything else
Sat with my back against the tree. Talked to the tree and asked if I could meditate with it. Made several offerings to the tree (see list above). Started playing meditation music. Touched the ground with my hands.
Visualization: I visualized myself walking in a circle around the trunk of the tree while touching it and asked for permission to become one with the tree.
I saw myself going into the tree. I was amazed to feel that the tree went higher and higher and higher up, reaching far higher energetically than physically. Reaching so high into the sky that I didn’t see the end.
I then visualized a light coming down into the tree. I asked the light to bless me and bless the tree. The light came straight down the branches and the trunk and reached me.
Warning for beginner magic practices
When working with tree spirits in paganism and witchcraft, it’s crucial to approach these practices with respect and mindfulness.
Trees are living beings with their own energy and needs, so it’s essential to treat them with care. Avoid damaging or uprooting trees, and never take more than what is necessary or what has naturally fallen. Always ask permission before collecting any part of a tree, such as leaves or branches, and be attentive to the treeās response. Respecting the treeās space and acknowledging its role in the ecosystem helps maintain a harmonious relationship.
Sustainability is also key. Ensure that any offerings or interactions do not harm the environment or disrupt the tree’s natural processes. For instance, if leaving offerings, choose biodegradable items and avoid littering. By honoring the tree’s well-being and being mindful of your actions, you help preserve the balance and integrity of the natural world, fostering a respectful and beneficial connection with the tree spirits.

The end of the Lion’s Gate season is very powerful as we have already gone through the tough lessons and integrated them.
By now, I am a different person than when the portal opened.
Through synchronicity, I spent hours reading about the Fae yesterday. After a poem a poet shared with me about them, a conversation with him and his invitation for me to read about it coupled with my favorite podcast having a fae episode, I surrendered to their call. I became curious.
The Podcaster (the Middle Aged Witch) who I have followed for a long time, said with 100 percent certainty that they lived in every house. I didn’t know this even though I’ve heard about the fae being real and not myth for a few years.
After her warning about upsetting the house fae, I wanted to do something nice for mine. While I sat for 2 hours waiting for my kids in jiu-jitsu class, I read and time flew.
This is my journal – though public – and I’m not trying to convince any readers. But I strongly felt that the fae were calling to me. I did feel concerned because of the excess of warnings.
I came home and started a big cleanse project first of all.
I had a table in my bedroom that I was going to use for my Venus altar, but I set up gifts for the fae on it.
I talked to them, and I explained that I didn’t realize they were there. It felt nice.
I continued reading today and, in an obscure site, found some love poetry.
Also, today, I found people who work with the fae to find their perspective rather than obscure online stuff.
I’m not afraid. Fear manifests things to fear.
However, I strongly felt that that was all meant to be. It’s the Lion’s Gate, after all and and I’ve had open spirit communication on this season and, every year, some magnificent spiritual events happen on this season.
I used my poetry journal to communicate somehow and opened it to one of the few empty pages I had. I asked them what I could offer them (for friendship as I told them, I do not need any favors), I then noticed a lightly written note I fist had missed.
The note I took as their response. It said “Create a beautiful book”
I explained that I could not give them the Journal, only a few pages are great looking and let them know I will need the right book before I can offer it, but I wrote a poem on the empty page for them. They asked if they could keep the page so I ripped both of them.
Interestingly, this empty (of writing) page had one of 3 cute drawings I did in said journal. I ripped the pages without any issue, and now I see the journal as connected to the fae.

My daughters came with me outside to experience the rainbow barefoot after their jiu-jitsu class! We had to go outside for the experience.
My kid’s hair after jiu-jitsu class! This littler one is such a scrapper. She had to scrap a boy her size, and she was in control. Maybe because she gets to practice with her bigger sister. Fun fact: they think they’re twins (2 years apart).
I was watching the little one in Jiu-jitsu class, and she had the cutest mean face. And they came out with hairs all over the place. We were waiting for the big sister who is in the big girl class and scraps with a smile. She’s a Libra.
Drove in a huge storm today. I love storms. I knew I would write a poem about it, then while waiting at jiu-jitsu class, I noticed two rainbows over the mountain!
A rainbow is a sign from spirit. I take it as a confirmation of everything I felt and as a sign that I was meant to write this.

This just happened, and thus, the third stanza doesn’t have rhyme or rhythm. This was not for the poetics. It’s for the meaning.
It’s the Lion’s Gate fault! I wish I could stop time. if it was the Lion’s Gate every day of the year, I’d always be this sassy.
I got so many divine messages for divine spirit work to complete (That is the upgrade this year, full on magic work with spirits, I am graduating into a witch lol), and I’ve been divinely guided into goddess work and, for some reason, shadow work leading to Lillith. It was Scorpio, my lover, who suggested that sex is a way to work the shadows, yes, Scorpio would say that. However, for me, miss Pisces, bound by church as a girl, sex play is a big shadow for me.
It could be that Lillith wants a poem; I will write some. The lady on the middle-aged witch podcast said that Lillith came to her when she was ready, that Lillith would only work with people who are ready to be unapologetically themselves, and I have in fact grown in this way. I work with Venus – Aphrodite
Venus is the Roman name for the Greek Aphrodite, and they are the same goddess. Below, I will share some of my poetry for her and one day I will tell you of my work with her. I have been working with her for months. Later, I will tell you how you can work with Aphrodite – Venus, too.
This poem talks of the cause of the Troyan war, when Aphrodite offered Paris the most beautiful woman in the world, the married queen Helen (long story).
I have actually communicated with Venus Aphrodite, and I loved our interactions. I have a plan to ask a thing from my friend Aphrodite, just need to find the right offering for her. The poem below is of a convo with Dite, she expressed that men can’t forget (in my word play) the orgasms they give their lady. This is a drug you’re providing for your man.
We wrote several poems together, Aphrodite – Venus and I. The below poem talks of a historical poem I read while studying Latin. This event was a yearly Venus festival. Tips for Venus work from her ancient festival: get nude, dancing barefoot, also beauty is an offering. Oh, and Bacchus (Dionysus in Greek pantheon) always leads to Aphrodite. This was the ancient way: parties and drinking (the ancients also put drugs in their drinks, though I am not telling you to do this) always lead to the Aphrodite work which is sex. They had sex cults; we have a cult of 2. ok I will have to tell you more.
I jokingly told my man I was going to sacrifice him to the goddess, put him on my Aphrodite altar. The sign in that is that the orgasm offering is well received by her. Oh, I certainly invoke her into our bedroom play. I am indeed ok with a spirit third party; I can share with the goddess.
This love spell was inspired by Roman Love magic, something I will continue to research and write about. The Romans didn’t believe in twin flames, but the Greeks did. But the romans were so afraid of Love magic that they made forms of it illegal.

Why the threesome theme?
My darling Scorpio is a very hot guy, and he gets chased by women on top of the obvious, if one tastes him, can’t forget the guy, has to come back on her knees. I remember distinctly she said she doesn’t know the history of why poetry is used in spellcasting. She isn’t a poet. As a poet myself, I want to offer my insight about the secret power of poetry.

Finally, I want to talk about magick in style
Actually, I was told several times (by the muse) to talk about Pytagoras (sacred geometry is something I don’t know about so I have a lot to figure out) but it is a command from my muse source, I must listen.
And I was told again and again to write a very triggering poem about TRIGGER ALERT ā ļø virgin sacrifice (it’ll be a poem about my own virginity, and of course, I don’t want to write it).
Expect lots more poetry, a Roman love altar, and Greek inspired art and content.
And expect more flirting chat because, you know, as my union blossoms, I have less need to journal about manifesting union, rather, I will bless my journal with the gifts that union keeps on giving.
It was an intense time. This past Lion’s Gate season was very creative for me. I loved every minute of it, and the message I received from “the universe” was to create, write, and share. Luckily for me, it came with a lot of inspiration.
