  • Lion’s Gate 2024

And just like that comes August!

The Lion’s Gate portal is a phenomenal event I have been celebrating for 5 years, I think. It has been a portal of union and healing as well as clear communication with spirit.

Also a fabulous time for the deepest poetry.

Today, I’ll research the ancient history of this celebration.

The Lion’s Gate Portal: A Journey Through Time from Ancient Egypt to Modern Spirituality

The Lion’s Gate portal, an astrological and spiritual phenomenon observed during the peak of the annual Leo season, in August, has roots that extend deep into history.

This essay explores the Lion’s Gate celebration’s evolution, tracing its origins from ancient Egypt to its contemporary spiritual significance.

    Ancient Egyptian Foundations

The Lion’s Gate portal is closely linked to ancient Egyptian cosmology and worship. During the time of the Pharaohs, the heliacal rising of Sirius—known as the “Dog Star”—occurred around the same period as the Sun’s entry into Leo, the Lion.

This alignment marked the start of the inundation of the Nile, a critical event that revitalized the land with fertile silt, ensuring the continuation of agricultural prosperity.

In ancient Egypt, Sirius was associated with the goddess Isis, and its rising signaled the beginning of the annual flooding. The Lion, on the other hand, symbolizes strength and royalty.

The convergence of these celestial events was seen as a divine blessing, indicating a period of renewal and spiritual awakening. The Egyptians believed that this time was sacred, marked by the increased spiritual energy and the gods’ alignment with earthly events.

The Lion’s Gate in Greek and Roman Times

The significance of the Lion’s Gate continued through Greek and Roman periods, albeit with different interpretations.

In Greece, Leo was associated with the mythological Nemean Lion, a symbol of heroic strength and endurance. This mythological lion, slain by Hercules, became a symbol of overcoming challenges and personal transformation.

For the Romans, the Lion’s Gate period was marked by various celebrations and rites that reflected their reverence for celestial cycles and their influence on human affairs.

Roman culture, deeply intertwined with Egyptian beliefs through the syncretism of gods and practices, continued to honor celestial alignments, seeing them as signs of divine favor or omens.

    Medieval and Renaissance Views

In medieval Europe, the Lion’s Gate was less emphasized, but the era’s astrologers and alchemists retained an understanding of celestial influences. The alignment was considered auspicious, and the Lion’s symbolism was often associated with royalty, courage, and divine intervention.

Astrological texts from this period highlight the Lion’s Gate as a time of significant potential for personal and spiritual growth, though it was less celebrated in a formalized way.

The Renaissance, with its renewed focus on ancient knowledge and the stars, saw a revival of interest in celestial events. Scholars and spiritual seekers of the time revisited astrological phenomena like the Lion’s Gate, interpreting them through the lens of rebirth and transformation, akin to the classical associations with strength and renewal.

Contemporary Spirituality and the Lion’s Gate

In modern times, the Lion’s Gate portal has evolved into a prominent event in New Age and spiritual communities. The period around August 8, when the Sun is in Leo and Sirius is prominently visible, is now celebrated as a time of heightened spiritual energy and transformation.

Contemporary spiritual practitioners view this time as an opportunity for personal empowerment, healing, and manifestation.

The Lion’s Gate is marked by rituals, meditations, and ceremonies designed to harness the perceived potent energies of this alignment. Spiritual readers and practitioners often focus on themes of courage, leadership, and personal growth, drawing inspiration from the lion’s attributes and the transformative power of the celestial alignment. The celebration is seen as a chance to release old patterns and embrace new potentials, mirroring the ancient Egyptians’ reverence for renewal and divine favor.

    Conclusion

From ancient Egypt’s celestial alignments to today’s spiritual practices, the Lion’s Gate portal time has been a symbol of divine influence and personal transformation. Rooted in the significance of the Sirius rising and the lion’s symbolism, it has transcended cultures and eras, adapting to each period’s spiritual and astrological beliefs.

Today, it remains a powerful reminder of the ongoing connection between the cosmos and human experience, inviting spiritual seekers to engage with the energies of the universe in their quest for personal and collective growth.

  • War song. Scorpio and Aries energy chanelled.

I saw a younger Aries man cry yesterday. He cried because he has matured and facing disrespect at work, he didn’t attack the other man.

I noticed he wasn’t his usual cool guy and asked, and he talked it through with me and his older man friend as we assured him he had made the right decision for his daughter and his life.

I immediately thought of my beloved Scorpio. Scorpio is the kind of man who will confront any bullies (unlike me, Pisces, I’m a great runner).

My Scorpio man addressed a bully in an old job of his and was appreciated for that by his coworkers who had endured the bullying, I think for years.

Scorpio’s big lesson is you don’t know who is who. Don’t mess with a person you don’t know because they could be a Scorpio (or an Aries), or anyone who will become enraged by disrespect.

These guys are not bad people. They can be sweet, kind, great friends, and awesome family members if they were raised right and have a strong sense of right and wrong.

But Scorpio (And Aries) possess an intense power that can be quite uncontrollable. Scorpio says when he’s fighting (this hasn’t happened in the 17 years I’ve been his woman), he loses his senses. He doesn’t realize the damage he is doing until its too late. This is why you do not mess with a Scorpio or an Aries person.

If you’re a Scorpio or Aries, tell me please, did I read you wrong?

Note. I channeled my man… so I swore. Not my thing, but yes his.

    I was inspired:

War Song (Inspired by Scorpio and Aries men).

I am a very kind man.
    I am very good,deep inside
    But do not disrespect me
Or you'll hear my war cry.

    Chorus
    Do not awaken my warrior,
    Do not anger my monster,
My attack is incoming, and you better brace
Before my fist hits your face.

I love to make people laugh,
To lighten the mood, and have some good fun,
I would like to open my heart,
But test me, and I will break you in half.

    Chorus

I have been through so much shit in life.
I have suffered alone, on my back there's a knife.
You don't know that I now look inside
And I know I'm a warrior who nobody can stop.

    Chorus

Don't confuse my kindness with weakness.
I'm just trying to play this game right.
To take care of my family, to live a meaningful life,
I will not destroy myself. That's why you're alive.

    Chorus

    I'm not a scary man.
I don't want to cause trouble to my mother again.
I only want to stay in my lane,
To be a good father, to heal my pain.

    Chorus

Respect me, or you will taste my rage.
Respect me, or I'll let my monster out of its cage.
Respect me. I can become the demon that takes over my man and then pray for you will not be safe.

My Scorpio lover responded to this poem and simply said these are not words he would use… but that’s because he never uses words 🙄 to describe his experiences, etc, however, I have been studying that man for 17 years and I will one day graduate with honors. I know what he doesn’t express. I’m the one who translates emotion into poetry.

Do not disrespect anyone! And if you disrespect a Scorpio or Aries get ready to fight.

I do have a lot of Scorpio man within me given that I eat Scorpio for breakfast, dinner, and lunch. I know…

I’ll be creating mantra poetry next,

    Eve

  • Dancers are good in bed. True or False? Feeling the Music and Letting Your Body Talk.

Dancers are good in bed. True or False? Feeling the Music and Letting Your Body Talk.

    Dear Lovestar,

What a topic, and I’m triggered already.

I don’t like to let people see me dance because I don’t want anyone to think about me sexually! Because from experience, people always connect dance to, let’s call it intimacy, and explore this topic with grace.

It’s super rude to see someone dancing and bring up sex, but there are dances and dancers.. so who’s fault is it?

It is a cultural problem to judge dancers according to sex and it shows a perverted side of our cultures.

I didn’t become a “good dancer” until I felt free to dance because the only one watching was my lover, and he doesn’t have the perverted eyes I dislike. He doesn’t watch me. He sees me, and I don’t mind that.

Quite simplified, but this is my tip on how to dance any dance you want.

But the saying exists for a reason:

Good dancers are good in bed. True? False?

It is natural to assume that a person who is very skilled at dancing 💃 is good in bed. But why does our brain make this connection?

    • We hear this over and over again, and we believe it.
    • We assume that if people are skilled at moving their body in a controlled manner, they can bring that skill into the bedroom.
    • Certain dances can be very sexy and evocative of sex and people can’t help but connect all moving of the body to the sexual.
    • Some people (mostly girls) use certain dance moves to get attention on their bodies. There can be a misconception that a dancer likes to have their bodies watched of do so to gain attention. The truth is that dance is art.
    • Dance is a type of exercise. If you can dance all night long, you have the stamina and potential to last a while in the bed.
    • Many dances are SEXY and the partners can’t help but think of each other further.
    • Attachment can occur on the dance floor.
    • Dancers are excellent at reading the room and their partner.
    • Dancers pick up the vibrations of music with their body and move their body accordingly. This could be a superpower if intimately done.

The Art of Dance and Its Echoes in Intimacy

Ever dance with a lover? Few things are more sexy.

    Power of dancing

In many cultures, a common belief suggests that those who excel in dance also possess a certain grace and skill in the bedroom. While this idea might seem like mere folklore or an old wives’ tale, it’s worth exploring why such a sentiment endures and whether there’s any truth to it.

    The Dance of Connection

Dance, at its core, is an art form that demands connection. Whether it’s the intricate steps of ballroom or the free-flowing movements of contemporary styles, dance requires synchronization, rhythm, and empathy between partners. This connection mirrors the qualities needed in intimate relationships, where understanding, responsiveness, and mutual respect play pivotal roles.

A good dancer often demonstrates heightened awareness of their own body and the body of their partner. This attunement can translate into a deeper understanding of physical cues and emotional nuances, which can be advantageous in a romantic context. The fluidity and confidence cultivated through dance might foster a similar ease and adaptability in intimate moments.

    Couple Dinamics

In certain dances, there’s a couple dynamic in which there’s a certain leader. In all dances I know, this leader is a man. In this kind of dance, the woman trusts the man. Unlike in many relationships in which there’s no trust.

Many intimate relationships could benefit from the trust that typically a woman puts on her partner in dance. Because for females, trust is paramount for feeling safe, therefore pleased.

    The Power of Rhythm

Rhythm is a fundamental element of both dance and physical intimacy. In dance, rhythm guides movements, creating a harmonious flow. In the bedroom, a similar sense of rhythm—understood as the ebb and flow of interaction—can enhance the experience. A dancer’s ability to keep time and adapt to their partner’s pace might reflect their aptitude for maintaining a balanced and responsive dynamic in intimate encounters.

    Confidence and Expression

Dancing often requires a degree of self-assurance and freedom of expression. You know you’re good at it, or at the very least, you’re enjoying yourself. These traits are equally valuable in intimate relationships, where confidence can lead to a more fulfilling experience. A dancer’s comfort with their body and their ability to express emotions through movement can contribute to a more open and communicative approach in romantic settings.

    Empathy and Communication

Effective communication in dance involves both verbal and non-verbal cues. Partners must interpret each other’s movements and respond accordingly. This empathetic communication can translate into a heightened sensitivity to a partner’s needs and desires in an intimate relationship. The skills developed on the dance floor—such as reading body language and responding to subtle signals—can enhance one’s ability to connect deeply with a partner.

    Conclusion

While the saying that “people who are good dancers are good in bed” might not be universally true, there are aspects of dance that can contribute to a richer and more nuanced understanding of intimacy. The skills developed through dance—such as connection, rhythm, confidence, and empathy—can indeed foster qualities that enhance romantic experiences. Ultimately, it’s not just about the moves but the underlying principles of understanding and responsiveness that dance and intimacy share.

Are people who are good dancers good in bed?

    At the intersection
    Of good dance
    And great sex
    I found you.

I think there’s a point where the two meet and certain lucky people possess noth qualities.

    Let’s be honest

Maybe people dance to get attention, and I don’t think that equals good sex. Good sex isn’t about a great person getting loads of attention. It’s a dance (pun intended) between two partners who are communicating with each other in a fun exchange.

I believe people who are good at letting loose and dancing for the fun feeling of it are the ones who are good in bed.

    Don’t be a perv.

It’s not right to wonder or make comments about whether or not someone else is good in bed.

Use this info only for your entertainment and for the enrichment of your own love life.

Please don’t harass a good dancer!

If anything, take a dance class with your person. It will uplift your love live 100 percent.

    I hope this helps someone,

    Eve

  • Islands of Pain vs Elevaqua

    Dear Lovestar,

I met a bunch of incredible poets in Twitter/ X, and my power of expression grew from connecting and discussing with our characteristic depth and poetic flair.

Suddenly, I was able to write the poem I’ve been writing in my head for months. I remember when I made the realization (crafted this metaphor) that we’re all islands of pain. I was in a deep conversation with my beloved.

Find me as @evelovestar, and as much as possible, I share my friends’ poems. Or if you love poetry, let me know, and I will share.

Today, I bring to you the jewel of my crown. This baby is not only my longest poem (is it?, it’s the longest good poem…)

This is the most meaningful poem I’ve ever written.

    This expresses these ideas:

We are all hurting yet don’t talk about it.

We have become islands separated by the waters which are our unhealed emotions.

Let us shake the tectonic plates to connect again! To shake The tectonic plates means to go deeper than the pain (which is the sea) to connect.

    Islands of Pain

    Secretly, I was hurting deeply,
    My secrets I couldn’t share.
    Deeply, I was hurting secretly,
    Certain others couldn’t bear.

I did not want to be a bother
    With my intense feelings
    To the happiness of another,
Thus, I kept secret my healings.

    I awakened to the science
    That everyone suffers pain,
    Though usually done in silence
If they hurt again and again.

This made me not feel alone:
    My suffering is nothing new.
I’m not so strange after all,
    But this problem somehow grew.

    If we suffer all alone
    Unable to speak, no gain,
    Our personal suffering zone
    Becomes an ISLAND OF PAIN.

    Collective emotional pain
    Has created deep, deep oceans.
We are floating, at times drowning,
    As islands in unhealed emotions.

    My family floats apart
In a sea of emotional waters,
    This sadly breaks my heart:
    Archipelagos hurt their daughters.

    Though appearances are good,
Deep down, we are hurting num,
    Connections severed by mood,
And we accept it as the norm.

And I would like to shake
    The tectonic plates
    In a love earthquake
    To connect as continental friends.

    ©evelovestar

    Let’s discuss the problem

This poem explores themes of personal suffering, isolation, and the struggle to connect with others amidst emotional pain. It conveys a sense of solitude and the challenge of sharing one’s inner struggles while also recognizing that such suffering is universal.

The imagery of oceans, islands, and archipelagos represents the vastness and isolation of emotional experiences, while the desire to “shake the tectonic plates” symbolizes a wish to overcome these barriers and foster deeper, more connected relationships.

    If you’re suffering like this:

Try #Elevaqua a release of the emotional waters that make us feel like we’re drowing. I do this through poetry, art, journaling…

    1. **Seek Support**: Reach out to trusted friends, family, or professionals to share your feelings and experiences. Talking about your emotions can help you feel less isolated.

    2. **Foster Connection**: Build and maintain relationships with others who can empathize and offer support. Creating a supportive network can help reduce the sense of emotional isolation.

    3. **Practice Self-Care**: Engage in activities that promote emotional healing and well-being. This could include therapy, meditation, journaling, or creative expression.

    4. **Promote Empathy**: Encourage open conversations about emotional struggles within your community or circle of friends. Creating a culture of understanding can help others feel less alone in their experiences.

    5. **Address Relationship Dynamics**: If emotional distance exists within family or close relationships, consider having honest and empathetic discussions to address and improve these dynamics.

With this poem, I not only wanted to point to a problem,

I’d like to also pose a possible solution.

Let’s shake the tectonic plates, which symbolize the deep, unseen connection between each one of us.

    With love, light, and catharsis,

    Eve

  • How to flirt like a poet. Turning Conversations into Flirting: A Guide to Subtle and Effective Interaction with hot examples

How to flirt like a poet. Turning Conversations into Flirting: A Guide to Subtle and Effective Interaction with hot examples

    Dear Lovestar,

I hate flirting. However, I’m a huge flirt when I’m around my man, my most beloved, Scorpio.

I have become extremely good at flirting with him and getting the desired results. I will probably write a book about how to flirt.

I am collecting all my dating advice

Flirting doesn’t always have to involve grand gestures or rehearsed lines. Often, it’s about weaving a touch of charm and playfulness into everyday conversations. Here’s a guide to transforming your interactions into flirtatious exchanges that feel natural and engaging.

    1. Start with Genuine Interest

Authentic curiosity about your partner’s interests, experiences, and passions sets the stage for effective flirting. Ask open-ended questions about their hobbies, recent achievements, or dreams. For instance, if they mention a recent trip, ask, “What was the most exciting part of your trip? I’d love to hear more about it.” This not only shows that you’re attentive but also creates an opportunity for playful banter based on their responses.

    2. Use Light Teasing

Playful teasing can be a fun way to flirt if done with care. It’s about striking the right balance between humor and affection. For example, if they boast about their cooking skills, you might say, “Oh, I’m intrigued! Are you sure you’re not trying to impress me with your secret recipe?” This kind of teasing can build rapport and keep the conversation lively.

    3. Employ Compliments Wisely

Compliments are a powerful tool in flirting, but they should feel sincere and specific. Instead of generic praise, focus on unique aspects that you genuinely appreciate. If they’re wearing a striking accessory, say, “That necklace is stunning. It really complements your style. Is there a special story behind it?” Tailoring your compliments to their personality or achievements adds a personal touch.

    4. Incorporate Playful Challenges

Introducing a light-hearted challenge can inject flirtation into the conversation. For example, “I’m on a mission to find the best [type of food] in town. Care to join me on this culinary adventure and see if we can find a winner together?” This approach not only creates an opportunity for further interaction but also adds an element of fun.

    5. Use Humor to Your Advantage

Humor is an excellent way to make flirting feel natural. Share a funny anecdote or playfully exaggerate a mundane experience. For example, “I tried baking last weekend and ended up with what can only be described as ‘artistic’ bread. Do you have any baking disasters to share?” Humor can break the ice and make the conversation more enjoyable.

    6. Create a Sense of Mystery

Subtly introducing a sense of mystery can be intriguing. Instead of revealing everything about yourself immediately, share snippets and invite curiosity. For instance, “I’ve always had this quirky little hobby that not many people know about. Maybe I’ll share it if you’re lucky!” This piques interest and keeps the conversation engaging

    7. Respond with Enthusiasm

When your partner shares something about themselves, respond with genuine enthusiasm. Showing excitement about their stories or interests can be very flattering. For example, “Wow, that’s amazing! I’ve always admired people who can [do something impressive]. You’re really inspiring!”

    8. Use Body Language

Flirting isn’t just about words; body language plays a crucial role. Maintain eye contact, smile warmly, and use subtle gestures like leaning in slightly or nodding encouragingly. These non-verbal cues can convey interest and attraction without the need for explicit statements.

    9. Balance the Conversation

While it’s important to show interest in your partner, balancing the conversation by sharing a bit about yourself can make the interaction feel reciprocal. For example, if they talk about their love for hiking, you might respond with, “I’ve always wanted to try hiking. What’s your favorite trail? Maybe I could join you sometime.”

    10. Gauge Their Reactions

Pay attention to your partner’s responses and body language. If they seem engaged and reciprocate your playful banter, you’re on the right track. If they seem uncomfortable or disinterested, it’s important to respect their boundaries and adjust your approach.

    Conclusion

Turning conversations into flirtatious exchanges involves blending genuine interest, playful teasing, and thoughtful compliments. By integrating these elements into your interactions, you create a dynamic and engaging dialogue that can spark romance and deepen your connection. Remember, the key to successful flirting is authenticity and respect—always approach with a genuine desire to connect and enjoy the process.

I think some have no idea how to flirt or are using their “flirting skill” so wrong,

    I thought myself…

    I will help you 😆 🤣 😂

You will see more like this very soon,

  • POETRIES IN THE WIND

    Dear Lovestar,

I have been sharing my poetry on Twitter and joined several poetry communities. One such community, which I link below, has a very engaged group of poets, some of which I’ve made friends with.

In this community, there’s a lot of attention from the community moderator who starts all sorts of conversations. As I joined the conversation, a collaboration effort was happening. I immediately joined with insights.

On a call for feedback, I shared my Poetries in the wind poem, and a poet suggested that I try more rhyming. I rewrote the poem and then extended it. I loved the result.

    Poetries in the wind.

There are poetries in the wind,
    I download them, draw them in;
    There are playful rhymes within,
    And melodies under my skin.

Is my pen my magic wand?
    Is my journal fertile land?
    Song receiver is my mind,
    Poems written by my hand.

I possess the gift to hear
With my mind, not just my ear.
    Muses engaged without fear,
Tell me stories I hold dear.

I am grateful for this fate:
    I listen and concentrate,
    In those moments, meditate
To write from an inspired state.

The original work was a truly inspired piece.

This speaks about my process for poetry writing. I’m a channel for poetry.
