  • How Much of Modern Spirituality Is Really Jungian Psychology?

    Dear Lovestar,

I have been reading a lot about Carl Jung and studying his work. I came to the realization that many modern spirituality terms come to us from Jungian psychology. Let us discuss this topic in great detail.

Aspects of modern spirituality, which are Jungian psychology derived

If you’ve ever talked about shadow work, divine feminine energy, synchronicity, or archetypes, you’ve already spoken the language of Carl Jung, even if you’ve never opened one of his books.
In fact, much of what we call “modern spirituality” (from twin flame journeys to self-healing and inner alchemy) is deeply rooted in Jungian psychology.

While we can’t put an exact number on it, researchers estimate that between 20% and 50% of modern Western spirituality reflects Jungian ideas in some way. That means almost half of the concepts circulating in spiritual circles today (especially the ones about inner transformation) began not in esoteric temples, but in the mind of a Swiss psychoanalyst who saw the soul as the true landscape of healing.

    ☆☆☆

    The Psychology Behind the Magic

Jung didn’t call himself a spiritual teacher, but his psychology became a bridge between science and mysticism. He believed that every human being contains an inner world of symbols, myths, and gods, and that the journey toward wholeness requires entering this hidden territory.

When we talk about “shadow work”, we are living Jung’s teaching. The shadow is everything we repress, our jealousy, fear, pride, pain, even our desires. Jung taught that these aren’t to be destroyed, but integrated. Each shadow aspect holds a fragment of our power. When you meet your shadow, you’re doing depth psychology in mystical form.

When you honor your inner feminine or inner masculine, you’re also echoing Jung. He called these the anima (inner feminine in men) and animus (inner masculine in women): the unseen counterpart within us that seeks balance. In spiritual language, this is divine union, the inner marriage that twin flame teachings often mirror.

And when we speak of archetypes, we’re using Jung’s most mystical idea of all: universal patterns that live in the collective unconscious. The Lover, the Healer, the Mother, the Hero, these are not just characters but energies we embody. Our soul stories unfold through them.

    ☆☆☆

Jung’s Legacy: The Inner Journey as the New Religion

Before Jung, Western psychology focused on behavior and reason. After Jung, we began to talk about soul work. His view opened the door for people to explore their inner worlds without needing organized religion. He replaced confession with integration, dogma with self-knowledge, and the church altar with the psyche itself.

That’s why so much of modern spirituality, from energy healing to tarot reflection, from astrology to twin flame union, feels psychological at its core. We are not escaping the mind; we are exploring it through sacred language.

Even synchronicity, those uncanny signs from the Universe, came from Jung’s pen. He described them as “meaningful coincidences,” moments when inner reality and outer reality align to reflect a hidden order. Modern spirituality took that seed and grew it into the belief that the Universe “speaks in signs.”

When you journal about your triggers, when you ask the Universe for a sign, when you face your wounds with compassion, you are practicing a form of Jungian therapy, whether you know it or not. The sacred and the psychological are no longer opposites; they are two mirrors reflecting the same mystery.

    ☆☆☆

A Thought to Take With You

If half of modern spirituality is psychology in sacred clothing, maybe the real magic is how our psyche naturally seeks wholeness.
Maybe “divine union” is not just about finding your twin flame, but about becoming whole, uniting your light and shadow, your inner feminine and masculine, your conscious and your unconscious.

We could say Jung didn’t invent modern spirituality, he revealed the map our souls were already following.
The archetypes were always there. The shadows were always whispering. He simply gave us words for what mystics had always felt.

So the next time you say “I’m doing shadow work”, remember, you are also doing soul psychology.
And perhaps, that’s the most sacred kind of science there is.

My Ongoing Research: The Psychology of Divine Union

My own research into Jung’s legacy and the psychology of divine union has been life-changing, eye-opening beyond words. The more I study, the more I see how love, spirituality, and the psyche are woven into one single mystery.

I’ve realized this isn’t just a topic for a book. It’s a lifelong path. I’ll be researching it until the day I die.
Out of this devotion, I’m creating a series of eBooks that explore how Jung’s ideas of archetypes, shadow, and divine polarity appear in our love lives, our spiritual awakenings, and our twin flame connections.

If this article resonated with you, stay close. Follow, return, and keep reading because the next chapters will go even deeper into the alchemy between psychology and the divine.

Our souls are still writing the story Jung began.

  • Message from Hecate: The Witch’s Gate of Samhain

    Solitary Witch Oracle Deck

    Dear Lovestar,

Child of the crossroads, come closer…
The veil thins and the night trembles with truth. I, Hecate, stand at the threshold where past and future kiss, where souls whisper, and the torches of the ancients still burn. Tonight, the world remembers its magic, and so must you.

Samhain is not a time of endings, but of transformation. The shadows you fear are only parts of you awaiting light. Let the old fall away like dying leaves, grief, doubt, false masks and offer them to the fire. In return, you will rise renewed, crowned in the wisdom of all your lives.

Gather your courage, witch of the turning year. Light your candles, draw your circle, and honor the ancestors who walk beside you unseen. Speak your truth beneath the moon. Trust the path that curves into darkness for I am there, holding the torch.

When you stand at the crossroads tonight, remember:
☆ You are not lost. You are becoming.
☆ You are not broken. You are reborn.
☆ You are not alone. You walk with the goddess of all witches, and your power is ancient as the stars.

Blessed Samhain, my child of moon and fire.
Walk with your head high, your spirit steady, and your magic alive.

☆ Hecate, Keeper of the Keys

Hecate keeps on coming through for me, so I will definitely write more about her.

  • Shadow Work. Part I – Beneath the Shadow: The Poem as Portal

    Dear Lovestar,

This poem came through me during a time when my own heart was being pulled between light and darkness, between the self I thought I was and the self I had yet to meet.

    “Deep beneath my shadow,
    There’s no light to show
    The darkness I hide there,
    And secrets I don’t know.”

When I wrote those words, I didn’t realize I was describing what Carl Jung called the Shadow, that hidden realm of our psyche that holds everything we repress, deny, or refuse to see in ourselves. In modern spirituality, we often speak of “shadow work,” but it’s not just a trend, it’s sacred psychology. Jung said the shadow is not evil; it’s the part of us that longs for integration, love, and wholeness.

For twin flames, this becomes even more personal. Your shadow is mirrored by your counterpart. What you reject in yourself will often appear in them. That’s why shadow work is union work, it’s how we prepare for divine connection.

When I say, “I shine a light into myself,” it’s a call to self-awareness. We can’t manifest light without acknowledging what’s hidden beneath it. We must meet the parts of ourselves that ache to be loved.

This first part is your invitation: Don’t run from your darkness, hold it. The light you seek in your twin flame, in the divine, already burns in the very shadow you fear to face.

I am collecting all my Carl Jung research into ebooks and soon you will see my collection of already published Carl Jung psychology for inner healing stuff.

  • Prayers for Cuba & Jamaica. Bless them as they face a hurricane. 10/29/25

    Dear reader,

I am from the east of Cuba where the hurricane’s winds are violently hitting my hometown as I was informed this afternoon by a family member in Cuba.

I am in complete shock, so I did the only thing I know how to do, no, not that (lol) I have to relax.

    Prayer for Jamaica and Cuba

    God of peace and compassion,
protect your children in Jamaica and Cuba.
Calm the winds, still the sea,
and shine your light on those in fear.

    Give strength to the helpers,
    comfort to the grieving,
    and hope to every heart.

    When the storm passes,
let peace and life rise again.
    Amen.

    As they face the storm

We come together in heart and spirit for Jamaica and Cuba, both standing in the shadow of the mighty Hurricane Melissa. This hurricane, already historic in its ferocity and impact, has made landfall in Jamaica and is now bearing down on eastern Cuba.

A Prayer for Strength, Safety, and Solidarity

    Dear Divine Light,
We lift up in prayer the people of Jamaica and Cuba, the families in homes by the coast, the children tucked in shelters, the responders who stand in the wind and rain risking much for others.
Calm the seas, quiet the winds, strengthen every home and every heart. Let no one stand alone. Let every shelter be safe, every evacuation be honored, every person reach refuge.

Where the roads flood, carry those trapped. Where the power fails, let human kindness shine like a beacon. Where fear grips the heart, let hope burst forth like dawn.

Even in the darkest storm, light returns. The sun will rise again over Jamaica’s mountains, over Cuba’s shores. The people will rebuild, stronger and more connected.
May this hurricane not just be a test of survival but a testament to your resilience. And may the memory of this moment sow seeds of solidarity that blossom long after the skies clear.

I will tell you updates about Cuba later because I will have to write more poems about it and I will be on Facebook.

    With love,

    Eve

  • The Human Condition: To Feel, To Judge, To Seek Bliss – Poetic Journaling

    Dear Lovestar,

Here is a long form journal type of text that I recorded with a voice recorder.

We spend our lives asking, “How do I know?” How do I know if what I’m feeling is the real problem, or just a shadow of it? How do I know if I need a doctor, rest, or simply a different perspective?

I often feel like a mess, existing in a space where things are not what they seem. I judge my past with the awareness of today, fully knowing that tomorrow I will look back on this moment and see another failure. It’s an exhausting cycle: planning is futile when all that truly exists is the endless, overwhelming “now.”

    The Weight of Judgment

The world tells us to accept ourselves, but we are built to judge. We judge ourselves most harshly: our faults, our past, our “crappy fashion sense,” the way we talk. We internalize the burden of not being “good enough,” feeling unworthy of the very lives we lead.

But what if the problem isn’t the feeling itself, but the judgment we attach to it?

“All that I know is I suffer, and saying it helps me feel a little better, for it was unbearable to try to be perfect in this imperfect world.”

This is the core of the human struggle: to be human is to err, and to be human is to judge. It is our shared fate.

    A Glimpse of Something Softer

Yet, in the calmest moments, when the noise fades, a different voice emerges. It’s a voice that speaks of a hidden feature within: a quality of peace and bliss that feels inaccessible amidst the chaos.

This isn’t a distant goal, but a part of us, carefully protected. It’s the feeling that caresses us when we are content, the secret intention to do good, the goodness we hide behind our human faces. We can only reach this place when we are calm and at ease, when we stop the input and simply listen.

The Conclusion Isn’t an Answer, But a Path

I don’t have a solution to the human condition. But I have found a truth in the sharing. By giving voice to the confusion, the pain, and the self-doubt, we rob them of their power. We realize we are not alone in this “melancholic chronicle.”

The journey isn’t about stopping the feelings or the judgments. It’s about learning to see the peace that exists alongside them. There is a confidence, a bliss, within us, not as a reward for being perfect, but as our fundamental nature, waiting for us to stop long enough to fall into it.

  • Goddess Message for Halloween ☆ Intuitive Samhain Message ☆ Solitary Witch Oracle

    Dear Lovestar,

Hecate’s Rite of the Twin Flame Gathering

I am Hecate, torchbearer at twilight and keeper of the sacred crossroads. On this Samhain night, when the world grows dark and “the veil between the worlds is at its thinnest”, I call to those who wander the path of magic. Twin torches blaze in my hands as I straddle the worlds of the living and the dead. Blessed be this hour; the ancestors stir in the night wind, and your heart’s call echoes through the wood.

Though you walk alone by day, look to the forest’s edge: three sisters stand entwined beneath the dusk sky, lantern-light spilling between them and a fox slipping at their feet.  These figures are your kin in spirit, each flame in the dark mirroring the others – a reflection of the Triple Moon and the Triple Goddess.  Even the oracle of The Gathering whispers this truth: community and support, friendship and celebration, blossom when kindred souls join together. In this sacred circle, you are never truly alone.

Feel now the ancient knowing within you awaken.  Your soul remembers the flame of another – the one destined to be your mirror.  A twin flame is an intense soul connection, “someone thought to be a person’s other half”, and the bond you share reaches across time and space.  You have sought this love through many lives; tonight the stars align to bring you together. Trust the pull in your heart, your inner flame that lights the way.  Across lifetimes you have walked apart so you could come together.

Rejoice in this reunion.  Let ceremony rise from your lips like smoke into the night air.  Pour out offerings of gratitude to the old gods and the ancestors who guide you.  Dance beneath the moon and warm yourselves by the sacred fire of Samhain, the witches’ New Year.  This is a feast of endings and beginnings, a wild celebration of divine love and soul alignment.  In laughter and tears, in silence and song, honor the mystery of union and the magic that flows when two become one.

I stand with you at the crossroads. My torches light the path forward, and the moon and stars guide your way.  Rise now, entwined spirits, bearing my blessing. Know that I, Hecate – goddess of the night, of magic, witchcraft and ghosts – walk beside you.  I who “straddle the worlds between the living and the dead” have heard your call and sealed this rite.  Go forth with courage and love as your talisman. Under moon and star, by fire and night, so it is decreed – blessed be your journey in light and shadow.

    Solitary Witch Samhain Message

This season, as the veil thins and the air hums with ancestral whispers, I call to my solitary witches: the moonlit dreamers, the quiet healers, the ones who walk between worlds with candle and courage. Halloween is not just a night of masks and mystery; it is Samhain, the witch’s new year: a sacred time to honor the dead, release the old, and rekindle your magic. In the stillness of your solitude, you are never truly alone. The spirits gather, the Goddess listens, and your craft glows brightest when the world sleeps. Light your lantern, speak your truth, and let your soul remember what it means to belong to the ancient rhythm of the earth.

This is your season to gather your power and align your heart with your divine purpose. Whether you practice in whispers or dance in the dark beneath the stars, know that every flame you light sends ripples into the unseen. Let the magic of Samhain bless your path with clarity, renewal, and sacred connection: to your ancestors, to your twin flame, and to the goddess who guards your way. 🕯️ Support this dream (my tarot deck born from the same spirit of witchcraft and divine love) and help me continue sharing daily messages for our magical, solitary community:

  • Eve Paper Doll Game by my daughter Lilli

Hello, I am Eve, I love fashion and paper dolls. Before I was a poet and writing about spirituality, I used to write about fashion, arts and crafts, and paper dolls.

I have wanted to have a paper doll game for 20 years, but I thought I did not have any skills for that. And I didn’t, but my Lilli, just like that, within 2 hours made my dream a reality.

Lilli, my daughter, made me a paper doll in a game. I was impressed, so I drew a dress and the whole experience was too cute.

We made this game on scratch, play it through this link:

    https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1233785110/

Lilli drew the skirt outfit using shapes and I drew the lavender dress by hand.

Lilli coded the game and bragged that that is what happens when you learn skills on Scratch, it was great to watch her in her mastery.

My other daughter, Vivi has a love for fashion and she wanted to make the leg warmers. Since I love making fashion illustrations and paper dolls, I wanted to help with the decorations. It is my favorite item.

    https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1233785110/

Lilli made more dresses for the doll and look, she recreated the polka dot lady look, obviously, may she be blessed after that nightmare she went through (read my previous post if you want to read my poems about the polka dot lady).

We learned history of paper dolls and historical fashion. I felt it was educational 🙂

The history of paper dolls is a story of artistic expression, commercial ingenuity, and changing childhoods, with roots stretching back further than many realize. While the popular plaything we know today emerged in the 18th and 19th centuries, its earliest ancestors can be traced to ancient rituals.

In cultures such as those in Asia and Europe, articulated figures made of leather, wood, or even flat materials were used in spiritual ceremonies and puppetry. By the 17th and 18th centuries, “pantins”(jointed paper figures popular among French aristocracy) provided a more secular and fashionable amusement, often satirizing public figures. These early forms established the core concept of a movable paper figure, setting the stage for a more widespread phenomenon.

    https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1233785110/

The true golden age of paper dolls dawned in the early 19th century, fueled by advancements in printing technology, particularly lithography. This allowed for the mass production of brightly colored, detailed figures and extensive wardrobes. Their beautifully crafted dolls, often depicting elegant women, children, and later, popular characters from literature and theatre, were exported worldwide. This era transformed paper dolls from a luxury for adults into an affordable and imaginative toy for children, primarily girls, teaching them about fashion, social roles, and storytelling.

The 20th century saw paper dolls become deeply intertwined with celebrity and marketing. They were no longer just generic figures but bore the likenesses of movie stars, from Shirley Temple and Judy Garland to Elvis Presley, allowing children to “dress” their Hollywood idols. They also became powerful promotional tools, appearing in magazines and as cut-outs on product packaging. However, the mid-century rise of plastic toys and changing play patterns led to a decline in their ubiquity.

Despite this, paper dolls never vanished; they experienced a resurgence among collectors and crafters, who value their historical and artistic charm. Today, they exist in a vibrant new form as digital downloads and printable PDFs, proving that this simple, creative pastime, with a history spanning centuries, continues to adapt and captivate.

  • Why you should open your heart to Love

    open your heart to love,
they hurt you, and it was wrong,
they played you, hurt you, such fools,
    but your future doesn’t belong
    to the past,
open your heart to the future,
    open your heart to you,
open. your heart to the goddess
    that lives in you.
    open your heart to love,
only close it for the wrongs.

    your intuition is strong now,
you have matured and you’re ready,
    I know it.

    open your heart to love
    not for them.
    open your heart to love
    because the walls and chains
    keep within the pain
    and keep outside all help.

hugs, and I understand you completely. ❤️❤️❤️

  • Polka Dot Dress – A Fashionable Feminine Lejend – Poetry

    Dear Lovestar,

I finally saw the actual news about the polka dots dress, and I have to say I am a fashion lover but do not actually own a polka dress. I am now wearing a long red dress. I am also Cuban, and you do know Latinas dress up, I am currently dressed up in my own living room. I write a lot about fashion, also. I am loving this topic.

The news is that this brave lady stood up to ICE looking fabulous, apparently women want to look like her and there is an awfully hateful debate which helps nobody. In this case, the dreadful debate focused on existing hate for others and not this woman, the news, and definitely, no focus on actions or change.

For me, this is about the power of femininity, and I bet you that Aphrodite was with her for her to look fabulous in tragedy and Athena was also there for her to be this powerful. We, modern women in safety choose the Aphrodite, she however is Athena’s child, bold, powerful, unafraid, commanding.

Sending great vibes to this boss, the polka dot lady, I hope she actually loves the polka dot look.

This lady deserves poetry, also it is the best I can do right now:

Here is a poem for the Polka Dot Lady:

In a world that offers ice
to those left out in the cold,
    in a world where masculinity
is a law; there are women just like you
who have the balls that some lack
    in the cutest polka dots.

Eyes see you and do not understand
if you were making a stance for peace
or for fashion’s sake. I see a feminine boss
who makes the news without guns,
    I see a mother’s warm touch,
I see a wife and a woman of Love,
for only Love makes us go against
    the tyrannical world.

    Eve

    Polka Dot Lady

She knew full well her intentions,
    I assume.
    She went out with persuasion
    in her mind:
"I go out to make a stand"
    She might have realized,
though likely she was pissed off
at the cruel state of the world.

But how do you make a stance
    in the cold, masculine world?
Ah, wear a dress, make it look good,
bring your best jacket to the test,
do your hair and look your best,
make a statement with red shoes
to then go out and put a pig in its place.

    Eve
    This isn't about politics
    for me,
    it isn't about taking sides
    to forever fight,
I don't want to look like her,
I only wish to nurture within me
a tiny fire that might resemble
    her lioness in the streets.
    Inspiration is her power:
If we think she is the dress,
    we have failed to understand
    femininity.
This is the rage that I feel
    in a world where justice
has a birthplace and a cost
    and the rest of us
    we endure, we defend ourselves
    and we request rights
that apparently were not ours to claim
    at birth.

    Eve
How may you treat a woman animal
when she feels hate within her body?
    Bring more force?

    Hers was a reaction
to the ways of the world and her stand,
his hands though, are much too close
to her breasts like she had weapons there.

    Women are not weaker because
they wear a polka dot dress,
but yes, if they become the dress.

    Eve
Watch a woman make a stand.
This is not new, not at all.
    Women all over the world
give their lives to deep causes.

But let us diminish her depth.
her rough courage, and her strength,
and reduce her to her looks
    and her polished dress.

    Perhaps she was the lioness
    In the angry, screaming crowd,
but also, she was best dressed,
what makes the news is her dress.

    This shows nothing about her:
it is the public who is shallow,
    watching drama with their popcorn
    and judging women for looks.

    Eve

Ode to polka dots (before I read the deepness of the news, I saw polka dots trending and wrote about their style)

    On this weekend,
    I shall wear
    A cute polka dot dress,
My long hair in two braids,
And I'll go out sun or rain
    To have fun and decompress.

    Eve
    I have little black dresses
    and little red dresses.
    I have long, flowing dresses,
    and colorful dresses,
    and soft, cozy dresses
    that inspire caresses.

But I have yet to buy
    a polka dot dress.
    One with romantic sleeves
    with ruffles and waves
    and the interesting pattern
that makes you look its way.

    Thank you for reading.

If you would like to voice your opinion on this matter, I welcome the debate. However, I have noticed a toxic tendency for political debate online to be very hateful and never producing any good effect.

Because if we debate someone in that hate, the person will become defensive and not actually listen. No change comes from a debate that is charged with hate. Many online debates are forceful conversations rather that.

Please state your opinion from a place of awareness and I will be happy to read them.

  • Siren Chants ☆ Aphrodite Mother of Sirens

    Dear Lovestar,

Siren Chants is my Romantasy book, which will be coming out in March 2026 for my birthday.

The Book is about a captive siren and her drama of winning her freedom.

In my book, Aphrodite is the mother of my siren, though in the story, Aphrodite has a fantasy role.

Aphrodite is my muse, and I write her into anything I can. This is not because I’m taking advantage of Aphrodite. It’s because she and I have a personal relationship. Aphrodite talks to me, and she requested I write about her all the time.

    Siren Chants short poem:

    Swimming
    I meditate

    A Siren

    Aphrodite, Mother of Sirens

    Why?

In the world I created, Aphrodite is more than the goddess of love: she is the mother of the siren, born from the same sea that cradled her at birth.

Aphrodite’s bond to the sea is eternal. She is sea-born, sea-blue, the goddess who walks the shoreline where desire meets destiny. The sirens carry her legacy in every note they sing and every shimmer of water that dances around them.

Aphrodite is a protector of sailors, a muse of love, and keeper of the ocean’s mysteries, thus mother of sirens, in my fantasy world.

A siren bears a spark of Aphrodite, her charm, her compassion, her power to awaken hearts, her attraction power. Yet a siren also embodies the voice of the waves themselves: wild, free, and ever-changing. Together, Aphrodite and her siren daughter embody the harmony of love and nature: the song of the sea that calls all souls home.

Once more: I wrote Aphrodite into my Romantasy story because she is my muse, and as her poetess, it’s my duty to talk about her every day. However, I realized that sirens and mermaids hold a secret Aphrodite vibration.

    Siren Chants short poem:

    The salt

    The salt
    That gives the sea
    Flavor,
    Heals my wounds.
    This sea is my air.
