Certain people will hurry to call a woman a muse; however, I intend to elevate the word muse, I think a desirable woman falls short of being a muse, no offense to all desirable women.
A muse is part goddess and of infinite creative power.
The human muse is Sappho of Lesbos; the ancient poetess was titled the 10th muse historically because there were 9 muses and Sappho was so infinite in her poetry and song talents (she changed poetry forever and we are still under her spell, the feminine spell).
No offense to all desirable ladies that poets write poems to, but Sappho was in another dimension in my opinion and her poetry was innovative, we can never reach her, we simply follow in her poetic footsteps.
We are still writing inspired by Sappho: She was the first to write about herself and feelings or emotions. Reminder that before her Homer was hot, in other words, singing of war and gods. Sappho sings to Aphrodite, love, her daughter, her friends, and beauty.
