Creative ways to use poetry

Poetry Therapy: Integrate poetry into therapy and mental health care practices as a creative outlet for individuals to explore and process their emotions and experiences.

Poetry in Public Spaces: Display poems in public spaces such as parks, bus stops, or coffee shops to bring art into everyday life and spark conversations among passersby.

Poetry Challenges: Create poetry challenges on social media platforms or within communities to inspire people to write and share their poetry based on prompts or themes. Follow me and share this with your friends so we can host a challenge.

Start a poetry journal: I used to do this with the poetry of Neruda. Today, I do this with my own poetry. Adding art, stickers, natural elements, craft materials such as ribbon and lace, nixed media such as paint, pencil, marker, etc

Start a journal inspired by poetry: a good idea for a poetry lover would be to have a journal where they write down their favorite poems and then explore how the energy and flavor of the poem affected you. Decorate your journal

Create a poetry collage: This can be so good looking that it can be hung on the wall. Download and print my poems for this cool project. Adorn with art, stuckers, buttons, etc. I should definitely do this.

Poetry Scrolls: Write out favorite poems or original poetry onto long strips of parchment paper or decorative paper. Roll them up and tie with ribbon or twine to create elegant poetry scrolls that can be displayed or given as gifts.

Poetry Bookmarks: Design personalized bookmarks featuring favorite poems or lines of poetry. Use decorative paper, ribbons, stickers, and other embellishments to make them unique and visually appealing. This is a fantastic idea, and I will be doing this.

Use poetry in your dedication cards: Valentine’s, birthday, Christmas, anniversary.

Print poetry: Use as art, I currently have one on my fridge. I have used them to make cut paper crafts, I have used them to make paper dolls, wherever you use crafts paper, glue a poem.

If you’re crafty: Glue poems to storage boxes, frame the most profound and visually appealing one, paint your favorite poem onto a canvas or other decorative object, transfer one to a T-shirt…

What arts and crafts have you completed or seen that incorporate poetry?

Did you ever keep a poetry journal?

Thank you very much for your visit!

With love and light,

Eve, becoming even more inspired
